Getting a grip on panic attacks
Anyone who has ever experienced a panic attack knows how bad it can be. But you are not alone in this! Many people repeatedly find themselves in situations in which they are very fearful and in panic, feeling helpless and unable to act - without any obvious external cause. Panic attacks can also seem to come out of nowhere, triggered by stressful life situations, persistent stress, phobias and fears.
In my practice for modern psychotherapy in Hanover, I give you useful assistance and practical tips on how to get rid of panic attacks. During therapy, we work together to ensure that if the worst happens, you are well prepared and know how best to react.
How can you recognise a panic attack?
The name says it all: during a panic attack is when we panic. It is a sudden, strong anxiety attack in which the body believes we are in danger. Accordingly, it reacts with strong physical symptoms. Our thoughts go crazy. Panic attacks are not uncommon and can affect any one of us. In an anxiety disorder, the panic attacks occur randomly.
Characteristics may include:

- Sweating
- Shivering
- Cold, clammy hands and feet
